Rehabilitation often continues on the ward after surgery, injury or a stroke.

Hands-on rehabilitation and recovery

Recovery does not always end when a cast comes off or a patient leaves theatre. Our Physiotherapy service helps patients regain movement, strength and independence afterwards.

Physiotherapy works closely with Theatre and the medical wards, picking up patients recovering from fractures, surgery, or a stroke, and guiding them through rehabilitation.

Because physiotherapy sits close to Theatre, Medical Wards and the Plaster Room, patients can move from surgery or casting straight into a rehabilitation plan without unnecessary delay.

We provide hands-on rehabilitation for patients recovering from common injuries, fractures, surgery and stroke. Where a case needs complex neuro-rehabilitation, we refer it to a specialist.
